It's very easy to get involved here at West Alabama. We have a plethora of organizations that can pertain to all people. We have Greek life. We have honor societies.
I chose the honor societies and Greek life because I wanted to be more involved. I really felt like it was gonna help me to get the best college career that I could, if I was out doing something with others.
Student involvement, make some impact long-term. Getting those experiences-- having those opportunities can be monumental. And I think how you're making an impact on people, it starts here.
The campus activity board hosts events all throughout the semester, fall and spring. They are in charge of spirit week, serendipity and other like pageants, and things like that on campus.
All of these things promote engagement between students and faculty members, staff members on campus.
Being involved on campus has given me leadership skills, networking skills through my fraternity, Delta Chi. I also go on community service hours through the different organizations.
I'm glad that I got involved with organizations at the university because I've met new people, I've learned new things, and I've had fun while doing it.
